August, Free Salsa Nights, and New Classes!
First off - Yes, there's a free salsa nigth coming, THIS Saturday, to Monte Cristo. There's a lesson at 9pm, and there's dancing all night afterwards, at this beautiful, upscale location in the San Francisco Embarcadero Center (overlooking the Ferry Building). Very cool place - http://www.salsasaturday.com!
What else? July classes are huge - and people are having a great time. Highly recommended to sign up for August classes right away! Monday classes start on August 1st. Learn to Salsa Dance, and join in to an amazingly fun, social class, which will increase your nightlife possibilities a hundred fold.
I just saw "So you think you can Dance" on Fox last night, and was kinda let down. Even though my teacher, Alex da Silva, will be in later episodes, I found the overall show to be poorly produced, and not much actual dance to be seen. It was, like all shows of this ilk, about embarassing people on television - and making or breaking their dreams. I was totally bored! Anyway, later episodes MAY be better - we can hope.
I'll see everyone at Monte Cristo this Saturday, and if you haven't signed up for our LARGE number of classes in August, now is the time! In addition, we're starting a beginning and intermediate CHA-CHA class - for the first time ever. Details available soon. Here's a resend of the email we sent out about our new weekend classes too, we hope to see you soon!
This email is dedicated to discussing our brand new weekend classes, starting this Friday, through Sunday, we have multiple classes in San Francisco and the East Bay. visit the website, at http://www.DanceSF.com, to see all our classes. People have been asking for a robust weekend schedule for quite some time, so hopefully these classes will allow many people whom didn't have the time during the week, to come out and learn to salsa dance!
Starting this Friday, July 8th, at a brand new Studio in Downtown San Francisco, we'll have both Beginning and Intermediate Salsa Dance Classes with Tomaj. Tomaj, an excellent Salsa instructor will teach 2 classes, Beginners at 7:30, and Intermediates at 8:45. In addition, you'll get passes to go out after each class, as he's worked out a deal with the local clubs. Register online for these brand new Friday night classes (4 week progressive session), and let your friends know.
Starting Saturday, July 9th, two different classes in the East Bay with Tomaj (Beginners at 1:00pm, and Advanced at 11:30am), at another new Studio in Berkeley, called the Beat (refer to website to register and for details), and also, in San Francisco, on Saturday afternoon, two great classes with Allison and Juan (whom are teaching popular classes in the East Bay) at Studio Danza (right on Mission street, off Highland), give you a Beginning class at 4pm (students love their dynamic and friendly teaching style), followed by an Intermediate Class at 5:30 - great class, great location. Don't miss these brand new Saturday offerings! http://www.dancesf.com
What about Sunday? Yes, we've got a great Sunday class too! Tianni teaches a great class on Sundays, at Studio J (2407 Harrison Street, (where she teaches our very popular Wednesday classes). Students are raving about Tianni and her fun classes, and now she's bring that same energy to Sunday afternoons, where she teaches a 4pm Beginners Class and 5:30pm Intermediate Class. Where can you register? http://www.DanceSF.com
We hope to see you in one of these great classes, starting this Weekend!
We're hard at work on offering Peninsuala and South Bay Classes and hope to be able to announce something soon! Until then, come on down for our classes in San Francisco and the East Bay. :)
Keep Dancing - We'll see you in class!
